Ronny Deila makes request to Celtic supporters

Celtic can win the league title if results go their way this weekend.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has urged Bhoys supporters to create a vociferous atmosphere at Parkhead for their game against Dundee on the club's official site

Celtic will win the Scottish Premiership title if they beat Dundee and Aberdeen slip-up, and Deila is hoping that the club's supporters can drive the team over the line.

The Bhoys have had a gruelling schedule this term and Deila thinks that the squad will need encouragement to ensure that they do not ease up.

“It’s up to us, so if we win on Friday and Aberdeen don’t on Saturday, then we will win the league, but we want to win all of the games that are left now," he said.

“We will have some good moments in the next four games anyway no matter what happens. Friday is a very important game and I hope we can make that game a big occasion and a memorable night.

“It’s the start of a long holiday weekend and if the fans can make a good atmosphere then we will be doing everything to prepare ourselves to have a really good performance because this is very important game.”

As Celtic play the day before Aberdeen it is a good opportunity for them to put the pressure on their nearest rivals for the title.

The Dons have put up a valiant fight this season, but their fixture against Dundee United is far from an easy one.

In truth, even if Aberdeen do manage to pick up the three points in that fixture it will only prolong the agony, as it seems they will come up just short.

Celtic have been the dominant team in Scotland this season and it would be a major shock if they did not claim the league title from such a commanding position.
