Tottenham are scouting the young striker, ahead of a potential summer transfer.
According to Foot Mercato, who have been referenced by Get French Football News, Spurs have been scouting young forward Guirassy ahead of a potential summer move for him.
A 19-year-old forward, Guirassy is currently in his first full professional season with Ligue 2 side Stade Laval. He has made 29 appearances for the club, scoring three goals, and has been playing as both a centre-forward and a wide player for the duration of the campaign.
The report states that Spurs scouted Guirassy during Laval’s loss to Ajaccio last weekend, and are preparing to watch him again this week as the youngster takes on Le Havre.
Guirassy is also a French youth international, having been capped at Under-19 level on three occasions. Those three games have all come this calendar year, and Guirassy has netted three goals - one against England, and two against Denmark.
There is little known about the youngster, but to be a first-team regular at his young age is impressive, regardless of the division he is playing in. His goal record should not be derided in professional football due to his youth, and he has proven at reserve level that he is a consistent goalscorer - six games for Laval II this term have brought a return of eight goals.
It is unlikely that Spurs are signing Guirassy for the first-team set-up, although the need to buy young is a big one for a team of Tottenham’s size. They need to purchase young prospects before they have developed into well known stars, and Guirassy could just be the next talent on the White Hart Lane production line.
