Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela is on the radar of Inter Milan, according to a report in the London Evening Standard.
Lamela has struggled to make an impact since moving to Spurs back in 2013 and Inter are reportedly preparing to end his White Hart Lane misery.
Roberto Mancini's side are apparently set to offer to take Lamela on loan for the duration of next season, with a permanent move on the table if he impresses over that temporary spell.
It would be a risk for Spurs to take, but it may be the only way that they could recoup some of the sizeable fee that they spent to bring Lamela to North London.
Lamela is still Spurs' record signing, but his value has plummeted due to his poor form in England, and Tottenham would not be able to even earn back half of what they paid if they were to sell him now.
A good season in Serie A could remind potential suitors of his quality, though, and that would be the benefit for Spurs of sending him out on loan.
Lamela has previously impressed in Italy with Roma and if he could recapture that form at Inter then he would be an excellent addition for the Italian giants.
