Everton are the latest club to be linked with Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, with the Daily Mirror reporting that they are interested in signing the 21-year-old in the summer.
Chelsea are said to be keen on loaning Bamford out to a Premier League side next season, and Everton feel that he could be a good fit at Goodison Park.
Everton struck a similar deal with Romelu Lukaku, before completing a permanent transfer for the powerful front-man, and they would hope to enjoy similar success this time around.
Bamford appears to be one of the standout young players in the country and he would bring healthy competition for places at the Merseyside club.
Everton do not have much cover for Lukaku at this present moment in time and it is no surprise that they are on the hunt for striking additions.
The problem for Everton is that they are not the only club reported to be interested in Bamford. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also said – per the Mirror - to be keen in the forward.
Bamford has scored 19 goals while on loan at Middlesbrough this season and the hope is that he could rack up a similar tally, even at a higher level, next term.
