The Liverpool defender has received more bad injury news but is staying positive.
Things looked so good for Jon Flanagan earlier this month when the 22-year-old returned to Liverpool training.
The full-back would have hoped his injury nightmare was over and the smile on his face (as can be seen above) when he joined in with his team-mates in practice was telling.
After all, Liverpool could do with a man who can play both left and right-back this season.
But the news coming out today was that 'Flano,' an admirable performer during the Reds' Premier League title challenge last season, will be out for another 6-9 months after undergoing further knee surgery.
The news has been reported by a number of media outlets, including the Guardian, and will no doubt leave Liverpool fans gutted.
What of the impact, though, it'll have on the young defender himself? Flanagan is one of Liverpool's own and his latest injury setback could mean another whole season wiped off his record - at the very least, he will miss half of next term.
