Chelsea player ratings against Leicester: Hazard steals the show

Eden Hazard 2

Chelsea took a step closer to the Premier League title with a 3-1 win against Leicester last night.

Chelsea moved one step closer to the Premier League title last night with a 3-1 victory away at Leicester City.

Didier Drogba, John Terry and Ramires got the goals after the Blues had gone behind, with Jose Mourinho’s side dominating the ball with over 60 per cent of possession.

Here are our player ratings for the game last night.

Cech – 6

Mr Reliable stepped up with Thibaut Courtois unavailable and he did a good job, though he’ll be disappointed to have conceded a goal.

Ivanovic – 7

Showed strength and power down the right and seems to be a difficult man to get the better of.

Cahill – 6

Nowhere near his best but he battled hard and was lifted by Terry on occasions.

Terry – 7

Seems to be really enjoying his football at the moment and popped up with a vital goal.

Azpilicueta – 5

Made a mistake for the goal Leicester scored, which was surprising considering his form this season.

Ramires – 6

Tidy and went about his role well in midfield. When he has a specific job to do, he sticks to it.

Matic – 6

Good work rate but seems to have lost a little bit of his impact in recent games.

Willian – 6

Never stopped moving and working hard. His pace over the first five to ten yards when he has space is electric.

Fabregas – 7

Grew into the game more as the match went on, but still looks a level below his best form.

Hazard – 8

Chelsea’s standout player. He doesn’t seem to have been fazed by his recent Player of the Year win.

Drogba – 6

Battled hard and looked every inch the typically difficult centre forward he’s always been. Should have scored two, missing an easy chance.
