Adlene Guedioura wants permanent move away from Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura has impressed on a loan spell at Watford.

Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura has told the Watford Observer that he wants a permanent move to Watford this summer.

Guedioura has been hugely impressive on a loan move with the Hornets, helping them secure promotion to the Premier League, and the Algerian has clearly enjoyed his time at Vicarage Road.

He now wants to extend his stay with the club, but Guedioura admits that he will have to discuss whether he is wanted at Palace first.

"Yes probably [I want a move to Watford] but I don’t know what is going to happen," he said. "I don’t know what the [Palace] manager is going to say. So I can’t say anything even if I want to. The transfer window is coming and I don’t know what will happen. I enjoyed my time at Watford."

Guedioura's form on loan may have convinced Palace that he could still have a part to play and Alan Pardew could decide to have a closer look at him during pre-season.

The 29-year-old has never secured a position in the Eagles' team since moving there, but he has the ability to enhance the quality of their squad considerably.

Guedioura is blessed with pace and power and he would offer good cover for Alan Pardew, but it seems that he is keen to move on.

If Watford could land Guedioura he would be a key addition for them to make as they look to build a squad capable of competing in the top-flight.
