Tottenham Hotspur's most recent signing has clearly impressed his current MK Dons teammates.
Tottenham Hotspur’s £5million January signing Dele Alli has been awarded the MK Don’s Players’ Player of the Year award.
As reported by Cityblog, the 19-year-old won the prestigious award at his loan club, having scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists this season. This follows his place in the PFA's League One Team of the Year.
Alli signed for Tottenham on the last transfer deadline day, but he remained at the League One side for the rest of the campaign.
After a spell out of the side due to injury, Alli returned in blistering form and it is no surprise his teammates have opted to celebrate his achievements on the pitch with an award off it.
Alli missed out on the Player of the Year award, which was won by his MK Dons teammate Karl Baker, but the teenager’s latest accolade is yet more proof that Tottenham have signed a truly exciting young star in the making.
It remains to be seen how many chances Alli will get in his debut campaign at White Hart Lane, but Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has already shown he is not afraid to give young players a chance and Alli looks set to benefit from that.
