Tottenham and Manchester United linked striker Carlos Bacca nets 24th goal of the season

Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca, recently linked to Manchester United and Tottenham, can't stop scoring.

Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca struck a brace last night to lead the club to a 3-1 win over Eibar.

The forward put his side 2-0 up before the home team pulled one back, and former Arsenal ace Jose Reyes put Sevilla out of sight by netting a third.

The goals took Bacca's tally up to 24 goals for Sevilla this season in all competitions. 19 of those have come in La Liga, where he also has six assists, with four goals in the Europa League and one in the Copa del Rey.

Bacca's performances have drawn interest from Premier League sides, with The Mirror reporting earlier this year that Tottenham had been scouting him.

ESPN were one of many outlets to claim earlier this month Manchester United were interested, potentially replacing international teammate Radamel Falcao.

Their success could depend on how Sevilla end the season. They are in the race for a Champions League qualifying spot, and if they can finish in the top four then their chances of persuading Bacca to stay are clearly enhanced.

Bacca has a contract until 2018, yet this contains a release clause of €30 million, as stated by Sevilla's website. The 28-year-old would come considerably cheaper than the arranged price United have for Radamel Falcao, and his form might well tempt them.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Neymar have more goals in La Liga this season than he does.
