Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has expressed his delight for returning Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez.
'J-Rod' has been out injured since last season but finally returned to first-team training with the St Mary's outfit, with the rest of his team-mates affording him a brilliant gesture as he did so.
And a former Southampton team-mate has also joined in on social media, as the above post shows.
Indeed, Shaw has sent Rodriguez a special message on Twitter, showing his bond with both the Saints and Rodriguez himself is still strong.
The 19-year-old completed a big-money move to Manchester United last summer and has shown glimpses of his talent at Old Trafford, despite enduring a largely disappointing and injury-strewn campaign with the club.
Intriguingly, Southampton have seen as little of forward Rodriguez as they have of Shaw this term. At least they have played against the Manchester United full-back.
Rodriguez, though, can hopefully start to focus on playing a full season for the Saints next campaign, should he stay at the club. The training time he will get between now and the end of the current season will no doubt prove vital.
