Leeds United have a very impressive record against their Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United this season, along with those from up the road in Teesside at Middlesbrough.
Leeds United may not have had the season that they were hoping for this year, but they can at least claim the bragging rights over their Yorkshire rivals.
Leeds top the mini-table made up of the Championship's Yorkshire teams – with Teesside just to the north also thrown into the mix - having won five of their seven local derby matches this season.
The Whites have beaten Huddersfield Town, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United this term and have only lost once to one of their near neighbours.
It shows the character that Leeds have in their team, but they will want to be adding more consistency next season.
If Leeds could have replicated their performance levels against their Yorkshire rivals in every game, they would unlikely have been sat in 15th position.
However, the Whites have looked well off the pace in other matches and look up at Middlesbrough and Wednesday in the league table, despite their impressive head-to-head record against both sides.
Middlesbrough still have ambitions of making it into the Premier League, while Wednesday currently occupy 14th spot, four points clear of Leeds.
Leeds’ full list of results against their Yorkshire/Teesside rivals can be seen below:
Leeds 1 - 0 Middlesbrough
Leeds 3 - 0 Huddersfield
Leeds 1 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday
Rotherham 2 - 1 Leeds
Huddersfield 1 - 2 Leeds
Middlesbrough 0 - 1 Leeds
Sheffield Wednesday 1 - 2 Leeds
Leeds take on Rotherham on the final day of the season, where they will be hoping to build on their impressive record.
