Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Kane dismisses main worry over next season

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been quoted by the Daily Mirror, embracing the extra pressure levelled at him this season.

Kane is Tottenham’s top scorer, he’s scored for the England senior side and has been named as the PFA’s Young Player of the Year.

However, he doesn’t seem to be at all bothered about the extra responsibility he now carries on his shoulders.

“People say ‘is it extra responsibility?’ It isn’t. I’ve just got to keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully that sets a good example for the younger generation,” he said.

The Daily Mail has reported that up to four sides are considering summer moves for Tottenham midfielder Paulinho.

His former club Corinthians, along with Italian trio AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus are all thought to be keen on deals.

The paper claims the South American club believe they can tempt him to leave Europe and head back to Brazil.

Reported Tottenham transfer target James McCarthy of Everton, has been quoted by the Daily Mirror suggesting he’s happy at his club.

Spurs are one of the sides the paper says is interested in signing the midfielder, but he seems to be solely focused on his job at Goodison Park.

He says nothing has changed from the first day he linked up with Toffees boss Roberto Martinez.

“I have got time on my contract here. As it stands, I am tied down just now anyway. I am happy here,” he said.
