Former England international rugby player Mike Tindall wants the next Royal Baby to be a Leeds United fan.

Former England rugby international Mike Tindall revealed on the Colin Murray Show for talkSPORT that he’s planning to buy the next Royal Baby a Leeds United shirt.

Tindall, married to Zara Phillips, daughter of the Princess Royal, is a Leeds fan and after getting Kate Middleton and Prince William’s first child, George, a Gloucester rugby shirt, he suggested that Leeds will be the next club represented by the Royal Family.

“I got him (George) a Gloucester shirt – I think this time it’s going to have to be a Leeds United shirt,” he said, when pressed over the gift he would be getting the next baby.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Kate Middleton is 40 weeks pregnant and her next child could well become a very famous supporter of the Elland Road club.

Leeds are one of the most well supported clubs outside the Championship and the exposure and attention attributed towards the club in the future would intensify with a Royal connection.

Hopefully, in a few years things will be a little simpler around the club and there will be less adversity connected to everything going on both on and off the pitch at the club, which will allow the support base to grow and grow.
