Report: Newcastle want £10m each for Krul and Janmaat amid Southampton speculation

Newcastle will reportedly ask for £20m in order to let Tim Krul and Daryl Janmaat leave the club.

According to the Daily Mirror, Newcastle United will demand £10m fees for both goalkeeper Tim Krul and right back Daryl Janmaat.

The Magpies have now lost seven games in a row after Saturday's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Swansea City, and interim manager John Carver will be replaced by a long-term appointment this summer.

It's also expected that Newcastle will conduct a huge overhaul of their squad, with The Mirror reporting that out of contract trio Ryan Taylor, Jonas Gutierrez and Sammy Ameobi will be allowed to leave the club on free transfers, whilst Papiss Cisse, Moussa Sissoko and Cheikh Tiote are also likely to move on.

The repost also suggests that Newcastle have set their asking price for Dutch internationals Krul and Janmaat - and it will cost £10m to prise them away from St. James' Park.

Both players have recently been linked with moves to Premier League rivals Southampton by The Mirror recently, whilst The Sun suggested earlier this month that Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew wanted to reunite with Krul at Selhurst Park.

Krul has been a mainstay of the side in recent years but with Karl Darlow set to arrive from Nottingham Forest this summer, the Magpies may see Krul as an expendable figure who can bring in money for a new manager to spend.

Meanwhile, Janmaat has been one of the more consistent Newcastle players since his move from Feyenoord last summer, and there is bound to be plenty of interest in him if the Magpies truly are ready to let him leave the club to raise funds.

Should Newcastle keep Krul and Janmaat?
