Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has offered Harry Kane some important advice on the club's official website.
Kane has experienced a stunning breakthrough year, where he has transformed from up and coming hopeful into a high-profile star, but Pochettino is keen to avoid seeing the 21-year-old get carried away.
The Argentine boss says that although Kane's inclusion in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year – along with his Young Player of the Year award - was deserved, he doesn't want the youngster to get caught up in the hype.
“Now it’s easy to speak about Harry, but the process with the younger players is always important, to be careful, to build the future every day, step by step, not to jump 10 steps in one go,” Pochettino said.
“I congratulate everyone at the club for what they have done to help Harry and at the end of the day, Harry deserves it for his performances.”
If Kane continues to develop at the rate he has this season, then Tottenham will have produced their very own superstar of the future.
Kane appears to be a player that the Lilywhites can build their team around for the years to come, with his goalscoring tally this season dwarfing that of most players in England.
Kane has netted 30 times already in the 2014/15 campaign, and that total could well be increased before the end of the season.
It is a staggering achievement for someone so young, yet Pochettino is correct to be urging caution with the youngster, as next season he will be a marked man, making his task of getting on the scoresheet even tougher.
