Gedion Zelalem has told Arsenal's official website that Santi Cazorla is the most technically-gifted player he has ever seen.
Zelalem is still trying to make the breakthrough at the Gunners and admits that he is doing everything he can to learn from Cazorla.
Zelalem has been called up to first-team training on numerous occasions this season and says that he is always impressed by his Spanish teammate’s ability.
"Santi Cazorla is probably the player I look up to the most because on the ball he is the best I have ever seen," he said. "I look at his game and try to learn as much as possible.”
If Zelalem can learn from Cazorla then it can only be beneficial to his game, as the 18-year-old looks to have a very bright future with the north London club.
Zelalem's talent was identified at a young age and it seems that he is on the verge of making a senior breakthrough now.
The skilful midfielder has made two first-team appearances for Arsenal to date, with the second of those coming against Galatasaray in this season’s Champions League.
That tie was a taste of the future that awaits him if he can continue to develop with the Gunners, and if he can continue to learn from Cazorla then he should be well placed to make the grade.
