Newcastle United are in danger of suffering relegation from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.

Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has taken to social networking site Twitter to thank the club for their support during his injury problems this season.

The 19-year-old has been out of action since November due to hamstring problems and has not played a single competitive game since then.

Last week, The Chronicle reported that the teenager could make his comeback against Leicester City on Saturday, May 2 (click here to read more).

The report also stated that if Aarons fails to recover in time for that game, then he will be among the Newcastle players involved in the encounter against West Bromwich Albion at St. James’ Park on Saturday, May 19.

Aarons has not confirmed that report, but he has taken to Twitter to show his appreciation of the help and support he has been getting from Newcastle throughout the season.

The England Under-20 international has also described teammate Siem de Jong as “inspirational” following the goalscoring return of the injury-plagued Netherlands international attacker against Swansea City on Saturday.

Newcastle are currently 14th in the Premier League table with 35 points from 34 matches, just five points above the relegation zone.

John Carver’s side have lost their last seven league matches and are in serious danger of suffering relegation to the Championship.
