Manchester United went down 3-0 to Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s loss to Everton away from home on Sunday.

The Red Devils suffered a crushing defeat at Goodison Park in the Premier League, as they went down 3-0 to the Merseyside outfit.

James McCarthy put hosts Everton in the lead as early as the fifth minute, and John Stones headed in the Toffees’ second 10 minutes before the half-time interval.

Then with 16 minutes of normal time left, Kevin Mirallas beat the offside trap to find the target and wrap up a 3-0 win for Everton.

Following the defeat, 29-year-old United attacker Young posted the following message on Twitter:

United were poor against Everton, and their performance at the Goodison left much to be desired.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Louis van Gaal’s side had 65% of the possession, took 17 shots of which only four were on target, and earned seven corners.

The Manchester outfit are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 65 points from 34 matches, seven points clear of Liverpool, who are fifth and have a game in hand.

United are back in league action next weekend when they take on West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.
