A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
Manchester United travel to Goodison Park today to take on Everton in a vital Premier League encounter.
United will have seen Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton all drop points yesterday and know that a win this afternoon will all but secure a top-four finish and Champions League qualification.
In early team news, the BBC reports that United will definitely be without the injured trio of Marco Rojo, Michael Carrick and Phil Jones, but that Daley Blind could return. Brazilian defender Rafael is out for the rest of the campaign with a rib injury.
In other news, alleged United target Memphis Depay has been speaking to Fox Sports about reports linking him with a switch to Old Trafford.
In comments later published by Goal.com, when questioned about claims he had travelled to England to discuss a potential move the PSV Eindhoven winger said, “It’s not true.
“I want to say nothing more about it. We’ll see how it goes, but I know myself there is still nothing so I can tell you nothing.”
Depay is enjoying a wonderful season in Holland but it remains to be seen what the future holds for the free-scoring wide-man.
