Ross McCormack’s move to Fulham has not gone exactly according to plan, but the former Leeds United attacker was on fire on Saturday.
The Scotland international scored as many as three goals against promotion-chasing Middlesbrough at Craven Cottage in the Championship.
The 28-year-old, who joined Fulham from Championship rivals Leeds United in the summer of 2014, scored two penalties and and the winner late on.
In 43 league matches so far this season, McCormack has scored 17 goals and created 78 chances, while having a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 55%.
Fulham are currently 17th in the Championship table with 52 points from 45 matches, three points and two places behind Leeds.
Following McCormack’s hat-trick for Fulham against Middlesbrough, Leeds fans took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the heroics of the former Rangers and Cardiff City star.
Matt Smith has just referred to McCormack as 'Rosscodinho'. I'm very disappointed in him #lufc— MrPaulRobinson (@MrPaulRobinson) April 25, 2015
Great winner from McCormack yesterday. Say what you like about him but we've missed his finishing this season #lufc— Richard Booth (@RichardBooth10) April 26, 2015
