Gary Gardner reacts on Twitter after loan club Nottingham Forest and parent club Aston Villa both lose

Both of his teams conceded late goals in defeats this week.

Nottingham Forest lost again yesterday, as the honeymoon period has clearly come to an end for Dougie Freedman. The club have now not won in seven games, since they beat Rotherham United 2-0 on the 18th March.

The team had a great start under the former Bolton Wanderers boss and there was mutterings of a potential late surge for the play-off spots.

That now seems a long time ago. Forest are currently 12th, on 59 points, with one game left. If results go their way on the final day they could end up finishing tenth. If results don't, they could finish the season a disappointing 14th.

One player who could not feature in yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Ipswich was Gary Gardner. The midfielder is on loan from Aston Villa and has been in great form in 2015.

However, he picked up a knock in training this week and was therefore unavailable.

He was however hoping for the best from Forest, and his parent club Villa. Unfortunately, he was left disappointed by both teams. Aston Villa also lost, 3-2 to Manchester City, and he Tweeted after the game:
