Fans react on Twitter to Philippe Coutinho making Team of the Year

Giant Anfield Flag

Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho was named in the PFA's Team of the Year, so what did Reds fans, along with those from Arsenal and Chelsea, think about that?

Liverpool play-maker Philippe Coutinho has been named in the PFA’s Team of the Year.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has already made 47 appearances for the Reds this season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists to date, and while his figures are unlikely to generate too many headlines, the manner of many of his goals have got people’s attention.

Coutinho has got into the habit of netting outstanding long-range strikes and he is beginning to blossom into the player many at Liverpool feel has the potential to become.

Still, his inclusion came as a surprise to many considering the omission of the likes of Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla and Manchester City’s David Silva.

Shortly after the news was announced we took to Twitter to see what fans thought of Coutinho’s inclusion, both supporters of Liverpool and those of other sides, and you can read a selection of what we found below:
