Crystal Palace fans have mixed views on Pape Souare performance v Hull City

The Crystal Palace Eagle

The Senegalese defender is dividing opinion at Selhurst Park.

Alan Pardew has led Crystal Palace to safety this season, and it would seem the players have taken their foot off the gas slightly now they are assured of Premier League football next season.

They lost 2-0 to Hull City yesterday in what was a poor performance. It follows another 2-0 home reverse against West Brom last week.

Not many a Palace player shone during the 90 minutes, but there were some strong views from Everton fans on Twitter to the performance of Senegalese left-back Pape Souare. Joel Ward was injured, missing his first game of the season and Souare took his place in the team.

Since arriving at Selhurst Park in January Palace have certainly seen the good and the bad from the former Lille man.

Going forward he is a real threat. He has a great whip on him and Glenn Murray almost scored after a delivery from the player.

But his awareness and defensive abilities certainly worry a section of fans. His performance yesterday was predictably mixed.

Whilst some fans appreciated his attacking prowess, others were not happy with other aspects of his game.

But regardless, it does seem most believe he is beginning to improve, even if others are just not going to give him a chance.

Here is some of the best reaction from Twitter...
