Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths Tweets ahead of Dundee United clash

The goal-getter is hoping for a positive result at Tannadice this afternoon.

Celtic take on Dundee United in an early afternoon kick-off in the Scottish Premier League today. You could imagine that the Celtic players are sick of meeting The Terrors.

The meeting at Tannadice Park this afternoon will be the seventh meeting between the two teams this term, after meeting in both cups as well as the league throughout 2014-15.

However, Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths is clearly looking forward to the game. The striker has Tweeted this prior to today's fixture.

Griffiths will no doubt be in the mood today. He has been in great form recently. The former Hibs striker has scored four goals in his last four games, including a hat-trick against Kilmarnock, in a season where he has netted 15 times in 36 appearances.

Celtic fans will also want him to be in top form, as the club have not yet won at Tannadice this season.

Griffiths is also looking forward to the SPFA awards this evening. Celtic are expecting to win something at the event, with Stefan Johansen and Virgil van Dijk up for the Player of the Year award and Jason Denayer hoping to claim Young Player of the Year.
