Leeds United defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Hillsborough this weekend.
It had been a while coming, but finally Leeds United got back to winning ways by defeating Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Hillsborough on Saturday.
The match looked like going the other way when Chris Maguire scored a first-half penalty to give the Owls a half-time advantage.
But Neil Redfearn’s side had plenty left to give, levelling through Charlie Taylor before the much-maligned Steve Morison became the goal-scoring hero.
Morison had to wait a very long time for his first goal of the season, but having netted in the 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic last weekend, the 31-year-old went one better a week later, scoring the winner with 18 minutes of normal-time remaining.
Wednesday enjoyed the majority of possession but Leeds had more chances with 14 in total and five on target.
The result means Leeds cut the gap between them and Wednesday to just four points and ended a run of six games without a victory.
