Tony Pulis makes a frank admission about West Brom

The West Brom boss is happy his side held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw but...

Tony Pulis admits West Brom are not good enough to take their foot off the pedal and get results, according to BBC Football.

The Baggies boss feels his side's poor recent home form has simply been down to a bad mentality - and the assumption that they are safe and sound when it comes to their Premier League status.

Pulis, however, wants his side to be 100 per cent all the time as he knows the risks of slipping into bad habits, also admitting that West Brom are not good enough to take their foot off the gas and win with their 'B' game.

The West Brom coach was speaking after his side's 0-0 draw with Liverpool - which he expressed his pleasure with despite the Baggies having their 'share of chances.'

Pulis told reporters after the game: "We had our share of chances but we will take the point. We had a poor set of results here before this game and that was down to the mentality more than anything - when people say we are safe with this and that.

"We are not good enough to take our foot off the pedal, we have to be 100% all the time."

The draw leaves West Brom 13th in the Premier League table - now on 37 points. Interestingly, it doesn't look like anyone below the Baggies can catch them: their nearest rivals are struggling Newcastle.

But West Brom also have minimal chance of moving up the table, being four points behind Everton - who are starting to find form.
