Stuart McCall reacts to Rangers’ draw with Falkirk

Rangers played out a 2-2 draw with Falkirk at Ibrox in the Scottish Championship today, thanks to goals from Newcastle United-owned Haris Vuckic and Nicky Law.

Rangers manager Stuart McCall has admitted to the club’s official website that his side made a “lot of mistakes’ against Falkirk at home today.

The Gers played out a 2-2 draw with Falkirk at Ibrox in the Scottish Championship after coming from two goals down.

The visitors took the lead in the 57th minute through John Baird, who fired home from close range after connecting with a delivery from Craig Sibbald.

Then just past the hour mark, Tom Taiwo doubled Falkirk’s lead after being teed up by John Baird.

However, the Glasgow giants halved the deficit in the 83rd minute when Newcastle United-owned Haris Vuckic found the target. With just seconds remaining, Rangers score the equaliser through Nicky Law.

McCall was not pleased with the performance of his team and bemoaned individual mistakes.

“We made mistakes, a lot of mistakes, but I was delighted with the way we kept at it at two-nil,” the Scot told Rangers’ official website.

“Again we have had two or three great chances and their keeper has pulled off two outstanding saves. Obviously it's not the result we wanted and we know there are things we could do better but for sticking at it and keeping going, top marks to them.”

The result means that Rangers are now third in the Scottish Championship table with 66 points from 35 matches, a point behind second-placed Hibernian.

The Gers are back in action next weekend, when they take on already champions Heart of Midlothian away from home in the league.
