The Ivorian is currently on loan at Elland Road from Palermo in Italy.
Leeds United have had a mixed record of success in their transfer approach this season, especially with the players that arrived from Italian football.
But one success story is perhaps Ivorian defender Sol Bamba. While his form may have dipped slightly in recent weeks he has been a hit for most of his loan spell from Palermo.
The former Leicester City man will certainly be welcomed back at Elland Road next season if Leeds can conjure up a deal with his parent club.
However it is now being reported that Leeds have fairly ominous opponents in their transfer battle for Samba.
They claim that Roma's sporting director Walter Sabatini will discuss the deal with his Palermo counter-part Maurizio Zamparini about the deal at the conclusion of the Italian season.
Leeds will have a real task on their hands convincing Bamba to reject Rome for Yorkshire.
