Gareth Bale predicts Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale looks ahead to this afternoon’s Premier League clash between Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has predicted on BT Sport that this afternoon’s Premier League game between Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur at St. Mary’s Stadium will end in a 1-1 draw.

The 25-year-old Wales international, who played for both the Saints and Spurs, made his prediction during this morning’s Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport.

“I reckon it will be 1-1 today,” said Bale. “I will sit on the fence.”

Could Gareth Bale’s prediction come true?

Today’s game will be a tight one, and it could well in a draw. After all, both Southampton and Tottenham have strong teams.

However, Ronald Koeman’s side will fancy their chances of picking up all three points, especially as they are at home.

Although the Saints will head into this afternoon’s match on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Stoke City away from home at the Britannia Stadium, they will be confident of bouncing back.

Tottenham returned to winning ways last weekend when they got the better of Newcastle United 3-1 at St. James’ Park, and one suspects that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be determined to build on that victory.
