Beram Kayal joined Championship outfit Brighton & Hove Albion from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the January transfer window.

Adam Virgo has taken to social networking site Twitter to claim that Brighton & Hove Albion need to sign players like Beram Kayal in the summer transfer window.

Kayal joined Championship outfit Brighton from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the January transfer window.

The Israel international signed a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee with the Seagulls, according to BBC Sport.

The 26-year-old made 131 appearances in all competitions for Celtic, having joined the Glasgow outfit from Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2010.

A versatile player who can play in a two or three-man midfielder, Kayal has established himself as a key member of the Brighton team.

Kayal was in action for Chris Hughton’s side against Watford in the Championship encounter at the Falmer Stadium today, and former Celtic and Brighton defender Virgo was impressed with his performance.

Brighton lost the match 2-0, but Kayal’s effort and commitment was one of the highlights of the encounter.

The former Celtic man took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 83%, put in four crosses, attempted six dribbles, and made three interceptions, one clearance and one block.
