Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with some top quality players over the past seven days.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is going to be under pressure this summer to make signings that will push the club closer to Champions League football next season.
Tottenham have good resources and an exciting future, which suggests Pochettino should be able to go after a good calibre of player and should be able to convince them that White Hart Lane is where they should be playing their football.
Here are five players linked with signing for the club over the past week.
Kevin Mirallas (Everton)
Belgian winger Kevin Mirallas was linked with Tottenham by the Daily Telegraph as part of a potential swap deal involving Aaron Lennon.
Lennon, currently on loan at the Toffees, could be a target for a permanent deal on the part of Roberto Martinez and Spurs could make getting Mirallas coming the other way a stipulation in any deal.
Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)
The Daily Star mentioned Tottenham as an interested party in a report, which suggested the club would have to pay £20 million to do a deal for him.
Rodriguez has struggled with injuries in the recent past but he was one of the highest scoring English players before his current struggles and someone who could compliment Harry Kane well.
Kevin Wimmer (FC Koln)
The Austrian was quoted by Goal.com earlier this week stating that a move to Tottenham would be a dream.
The 22-year-old would be a cost effective option in the middle of the team and someone who would offer longevity and a chance for Pochettino to develop a more effective player.
Florian Thauvin (Marseille)
The Daily Mail reported that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the teams interested in signing 22-year-old winger Florian Thauvin from Marseille.
Tottenham arguably have a need for a wider player to mirror Andros Townsend, though it could be a difficult deal to pull off with Chelsea and Valencia also reportedly interested.
Miguel Lopes (Sporting Lisbon)
Portuguese news source A Bola mentioned a rival to Tottenham in a report centred around Sporting Lisbon player Miguel Lopes.
A Bola claimed that Spanish side Real Betis were in the equation to get him, which could bump his price up if Pochettino is looking to make him his new defender this summer.
