Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to bid for Everton winger Kevin Mirallas when the transfer window re-opens, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
It had been suggested that Mirallas was one of Mauricio Pochettino's top targets this summer, but the Mail believe there is little chance of him being at White Hart Lane next season.
Tottenham have other targets, which reportedly include Marseille winger Florian Thauvin, meaning that Mirallas does not figure prominently on their list of priorities.
That could be a disappointment to some Spurs supporters, as the addition of Mirallas had looked like it could be an exciting one.
The Belgian attacker has shown his class over a number of seasons at Everton and would have enhanced Pochettino's attacking options.
Mirallas poses a direct threat that none of Tottenham's current wide midfielders do and his arrival would have brought a new dimension to Spurs' attack.
The Lilywhites, though, are more focused on bringing in young players this summer and if they could land Thauvin, the blow of missing out on Mirallas will be softened.
Thauvin is considered to be one of the best prospects in Ligue 1 and the hope would be that he could settle quickly at White Hart Lane and prove himself on a Premier League stage.
