The Alcantara brothers were delighted as their teams were drawn against one another, in the Champions League semi-finals.
Few can argue to have been waiting for the Champions League semi-finals draw, with quite as much eager anticipation as footballing brothers, Rafinha of Barcelona, and Thiago of Bayern Munich.
Both played alongside one another in the junior categories with Barcelona, before Thiago opted for his move to Bavarian powerhouse, Bayern Munich.
Rafinha remained with Catalan giants Barcelona, becoming a regular in the first-team squad this term, following his loan at Celta Vigo last season.
The banter between the two began just before the draw took place at UEFA headquarters, as 24-year-old Thiago posed the question to his younger, 22-year-old brother Rafinha...
Thiago: "Will it be, Rafinha?"
Rafinha: "Could be, Thiago!!!"
Thiago: "Calm yourself young Rafinha!"
Then came the draw itself, and as fate would have it, indeed it was Barcelona versus Bayern Munich, who will now battle battle for a place in the Champions League final. The added bonus being the sibling rivalry.
Neither could contain their delight, with the pair already communicating aside from Twitter, in a video call.
Rafinha sporting a big cheesy grin, his phone muted, with a smirking Thiago simply responding: "Say something!"
