The Manchester United players have been training today ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Everton away from home.
Louis van Gaal’s side will head into the encounter at Goodison Park on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London.
That loss saw United’s slim chance of making a late challenge for the Premier League title evaporate, and the Red Devils currently find themselves third in the standings with 65 points from 33 matches, 11 points behind leaders Chelsea.
One of the United players who missed that game was Netherlands international Daley Blind, who was injured for that encounter.
However, the 2014 summer signing has returned to training and was caught smiling during today’s session (see pictures above and below)
Blind is a versatile player who is at his best in defensive midfield, but in recent games that Dutchman has been deployed at left-back.
The 25-year-old has played well in that role, and his return to training will enhance United’s chances of winning the Premier League encounter against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
United manager Van Gaal told MUTV earlier today that there is a chance that Blind could return to match action on Sunday.
