Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn could make changes to his side when they take on Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has suggested that he could make changes for his side's match against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow on the club's official website.
Leeds have had a busy schedule of late and Redfearn has hinted that he could give an opportunity to some of the players who impressed during the side's development games earlier this week.
Leeds' under-21 side beat Huddersfield 4-1 earlier this week and Redfearn was clearly impressed by the performance of his team.
"We had an Under-21s game on Monday which was great," he said. "There were some great performances which have given me a little bit to think about. We’ve planned and prepared a little bit more for Saturday’s game and we’ll finalise that on Friday."
As the former academy boss, Redfearn knows a lot of younger members of the Whites' squad well and he has already shown that he is not afraid to give them first-team action.
The likes of Lewis Cook, Sam Byram, Charlie Taylor and Alex Mowatt are all first-team regulars at Elland Road, while Kalvin Phillips has also been given his chance of late.
It seems that more could be set to follow and if Redfearn is looking for star performers from the recent development game, then Brian Montenegro is surely one of the players in with a chance of a call-up.
Montenegro netted a hat-trick against Huddersfield and will be full of confidence should he be handed an opportunity to impress against Wednesday.
