Are these the three Dynamo Kyiv players Tottenham could sign

Spurs have been scouting Kyiv, so who could they sign?

As reported by FirenzeViola, Spurs sporting director Franco Baldini was present as Kyiv lost to Fiorentina in the Europa League.

He has been out on a scouting mission as Tottenham prepare a major summer overhaul of the playing squad, and Mauricio Pochettino has tasked him with discovering the next big star to bring to White Hart Lane.

It is in Tottenham’s interests to scout and sign future stars before they become household names, as Spurs do not have the draw of the top level clubs, and so we look at three potential players they could have been scouting, and could be looking to sign in the summer.

Aleksandar Dragovic - CB

The 24-year-old central defender has risen to prominence this term, with some fantastic performances in the Europa League making him one of the most in-demand centre-halves in Europe. An Austrian international, he has made 33 appearances this season, and has played a key role in Kyiv’s league campaign in which they have yet to lose, and have conceded just 10 goals in 20 games. A ball-playing defender, he is used to the high-pressing defensive style of Spurs, thanks to the coaching style of Serhiy Rebrov.

Miguel Veloso - CM

The technical deep-lying playmaker is in such demand in the modern age, and it is a surprise that 28-year-old Portuguese international Veloso headed to Kyiv when leaving Genoa in 2012. Slightly out of favour under Rebrov, he has just 20 appearances to his name, but has still scored four goals. A strong tackler on top of his creative abilities, his contract runs out in 2016, and Kyiv may look to sell him this summer to guarantee a fee for him.

Andriy Yarmolenko - FW

Undoubtedly the star of Kyiv’s side, and the player many believe will be heading to England in the future, 25-year-old Yarmolenko can play all across the front three and has proven his abilities time and again. With 15 goals in 34 games this term he is Kyiv’s joint top scorer - despite generally playing on the right wing - whilst he has also registered 21 assists. An energetic winger able to press and create, he is the ultimate signing for Spurs’ system.
