The Argentine midfielder was left out of the Newcastle team for last weekend’s game against North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park.
According to Sky Sports, it was due to a training ground bust-up, and Carver has now made it clear that they have patched things up.
"There was a situation on the training ground which happens at every club," the Englishman told Sky Sports.
"As far as we're both concerned he trained with us on Monday and there are no hard feelings. We’ve shaken hands and are moving on - he's in the squad for the weekend, absolutely.”
Gutierrez has not been heavily involved at Newcastle this season, having fully recovered only in February.
Since his first Premier League appearance in March, the 31-year-old has played in four more league matches and has a pass accuracy of 71%.
Gutierrez was training with the rest of the Newcastle squad on Thursday, as shown in the pictures below and above.
It remains to be seen if the former Real Mallorca star will start against Swansea at St. James’ Park on Saturday, but he seems certain to make the 18-man matchday squad.
Newcastle are currently 14th in the Premier League table with 35 points from 33 matches, just seven points above the relegation zone.
The Magpies are in abysmal form at the moment, having lost their last six games in the league.
