The Italian scored for Leeds during a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday. He won't feature in this Yorkshire derby - but how do fans view him now?
An awful lot was different the last time Leeds United faced Sheffield Wednesday.
That Yorkshire derby was part of the dreaded Darko Milanic era, with a seemingly clueless manager presiding over defeat after defeat and the odd draw during an ill-fated 32-day reign at Elland Road.
A 1-1 draw at Wednesday was one of his highlights - if you can call it that - of his time at the club.
And it was certainly a highlight for Giuseppe Bellusci.
But is that now a distant memory for the Italian? The Leeds defender scored against Sheffield Wednesday and celebrated jubilantly with fans, throwing his shirt into the crowd as he got behind his team and vice versa.
Now, though, Bellusci is far from a man in form. More pertinently, he was one of the 'injured six' that pulled out of Leeds' clash with Charlton Athletic with fitness concerns on the eve of the Championship clash. Bellusci will now miss the last two games of his side's season, so won't feature against Wednesday this time around.
Seeing the Italian bond so closely with fans like he did at Sheffield Wednesday, then, seems like a distant prospect when it comes to the future. It will be interesting to see how fans receive him in the wake of the injury saga when he returns to fitness. He was the hero the last time Leeds faced Wednesday. How do the fans view him now?
