Manchester United’s Ashley Young hopes Watford return to Premier League

Manchester United winger Ashley Young wants his former club Watford to return to the Premier League.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has taken to social networking site Twitter to reveal his hope that Watford get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.

England international Young is a former Watford player and rose through the club’s academy before going on to establish himself in the first team.

The 29-year-old was a key player in the Hornets’ promotion-winning Championship season of 2005-06, and he hopes that they return to the Premier League for the 2015-16 campaign.

Earlier this morning, Young made the following post on Twitter.

Watford's promotion chances

Watford are in a great position to gain promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side are currently at the top of the league table with 85 points from 44 matches, just a point ahead of second-placed Bournemouth.

If the Hornets win their final two games of the season, then they will certainly find themselves playing Premier League football in 2015-16.

Watford will take on Brighton & Hove Albion away from home on Saturday, and on May 2, they will entertain Sheffield Wednesday at Vicarage Road.
