Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at signing a new contract with the club.
Earlier today, the Premier League outfit announced on their official website that the England international has signed a “new long-term contract”.
According to BBC Sport, it is a new five-year deal worth £100,000-a-week which will see the 24-year-old remain at Anfield until June 2020.
Just a few minutes ago, Henderson took to social media to revel in committing his long-term future to Liverpool, having trained with the Liverpool teammates earlier today (seem pictures above and below).
Very proud to commit my future to this great club. Looking forward to achieving great things here.… https://t.co/iJ4pv385qf— Jordan Henderson (@JHenderson) April 23, 2015
Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland in the summer of 2011 and has established himself as a key member of the team over the past couple of seasons.
Last season, the Englishman played a key role in the Reds’ second-placed finish in the Premier League, and this term he has been one of the better players in what is turning out to be a disappointing campaign for Brendan Rodgers’s side.
