Celtic bounced back from their Scottish Cup exit on Sunday with a 2-1 win in the league away from home.
The Bhoys headed into the game at Dens Park on the back of a 3-2 defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday.
Against Dundee, Gary Mackay-Steven put Ronny Deila’s side in the lead just past the half-hour mark, and Virgil van Dijk doubled the Hoops’ advantage with a brilliant free kick in the 63rd minute.
Although Jim McAlister halved the deficit for the hosts in the 87th minute, Celtic held on for all three points.
The win at Dundee means that Celtic are now eight points clear at the top of the Premiership table with 79 points from 33 matches.
Former Celtic striker Hartson was following the game, and he was delighted with the Glasgow-based outfit’s win.
