The Dutch media are not pleased to here that the winger wants a Feyenoord exit this summer.
Yesterday it was reported by Dutch source De Telegraaf that Feyenoord winger Jean-Paul Boetius was all set to quit the club in the summer. The 21-year-old, who the Daily Mail reported was a Tottenham Hotspur target back in January, has reportedly rejected a deal at the Rotterdam club and is all set to head out of De Kuip this summer.
It is a story that has been met with anger from football pundits in Holland. Boetius is talented, but certainly not one of the big stars at Feyenoord at the moment. He should probably remain in Holland for at least another season before heading abroad and that was indeed the thought of Dutch football pundit Hugo Borst.
"How could he after such a **** season open up his mouth.
"He never performs. Cut it out Boetius, be normal man.
"You think to be transferred later for two million. Then you go to sit on the bench at? Aston Villa? Well good."
Borst has a point. Tottenham are said to be keen, while Aston Villa's interest has not been mentioned anywhere other than this rant - but currently Boetius would not start for Villa.
Jack Grealish, Charles N'Zogbia, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Scott Sinclair and Andreas Weimann are all better options than the Feyenoord player.
So if he is not good enough for Villa? How can he be good enough for Tottenham?
