Former Arsenal man Adrian Clarke has suggested the Gunners have the edge over the team ten points ahead of them in the table.

Former Arsenal player Adrian Clarke told talkSPORT that he doesn’t think Arsenal will have a better chance to beat Chelsea.

The Gunners host the Premier League leaders this weekend and Clarke feels his old team have the edge over Jose Mourinho’s side ahead of the big game.

“I don’t think Arsenal will ever have a better chance of beating Chelsea – They’re starting to look a bit fatigued while the Gunners are in great form,” he said.

Chelsea have a ten point lead over Arsenal at the top of the table, but they have been securing results without playing anywhere near their best.

Arsenal are on a staggering run as they have turned things around with nine straight wins since that now infamous defeat they suffered at the hands of Monaco in the Champions League.

All areas of their team are playing well and they have more than enough talent in the centre of their midfield and attack to cause Chelsea more than a few headaches this weekend.

The Gunners can press hard during the early stages of the match and they will need to rely on that creativity if Mourinho orders his team to drop off and defend deep.

An Arsenal win won’t change too much in relation to where the title is likely to end up, but it could do the belief of the side and the fans a world of good ahead of a very important summer.
