Thierry Henry angry with Manchester United loanee Chicharito's celebration

Arsenal legend felt Manchester United loanee should have said thank you to Real Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo.

Javier Hernandez enjoyed one of the best moments of his career last night.

No matter his poor loan spell at Real Madrid so far, it was immediately washed away by the sensation of scoring the all important Champions League quarter-final winner against local rivals Atletico Madrid.

He scored in the 87th minute, and his lack of goals, and starts, so far this season only made this goal even more special.

Chicharito was clearly thrilled to find the back of the net, his face a picture of joy after scoring.

SkySports pundit Thierry Henry was not so impressed with his celebration however, feeling he should have showed more humility.

The reason was, as explained by the former Arsenal striker, he felt Cristiano Ronaldo's run and pass was really responsible for carving Atletico open, with  Manchester United loanee Javier Hernandez left with a simple task.

He said: "I can tell you he can thank Ronaldo tonight, for me he has to. That is for me Ronaldo's goal.

"He (Ronaldo) didn't take a chance, he didn't miss it, all I'm saying is Ronaldo giving him that ball, that's Ronaldo's goal.

"What I don't like is it seems like he won the World Cup. Turn around and celebrate with Ronaldo.

"I think the pressure went through him. He knew he had to perform today. If Ronaldo had done that I would have said the same thing. It's still a tap in, turn around and say thank you to the man."

Henry in his sensational career did not have the problems Hernandez did at 26. He was not discarded by one club at what should be close to his peak years, and barely used by another.

The Mexican international was quoted in The Guardian last month stating his confidence was rock bottom and speaking of his frustration, and his celebration was purely an outpouring of months, if not two seasons of being held back.
