When Arsenal take on Chelsea this weekend, it will see two of the top performers from this season go head to head.
While Eden Hazard has arguably been the best player in the league this season, and is likely to win several awards, across London there has been another top performer.
Chilean Alexis Sanchez, signed from Barcelona, has proved to be an impressive capture to take the club to the next level and second place in the table behind Jose Mourinho’s runaway leaders.
We decided to compare the two stars to see who comes out on top.
In the goals column, Sanchez comes out on top, with 14 compared to Hazard’s 13, although the duo are locked together when it comes to assists, with a tally of eight each.
In the attempted assists column, the Arsenal man has tried 69 assists, with 43 on target, a success rate of 62%. In contrast, the Belgian has attempted 88 assists this season, with 52 on target, a success rate of 59%.
When it comes to scoring attempts though, Hazard leads the way, having had 30 of his total 67 scoring attempts on target - a success rate of 44%. Sanchez meanwhile has 39 of his 93 on target, a success rate of 41%.
The Chelsea star also leads when it comes to dribbling, having won 153 of his total 234 contests, a success rate of 65%, while his Chilean counterpart has won just 102 of his 171 attempts - a success rate of 59%.
So, not much between the two players, but Hazard comes out on top in most areas, once again providing evidence of why he will surely be Player of the Year come the season end.
