Arsenal and Chelsea come up against each other this weekend in a clash that will be crucial at the top of the table.
Two players who have played a key part in their team's seasons are Cesc Fabregas and Santi Cazorla, with the former Gunner having impressed in his first season back in England, and Cazorla having adapted perfectly to a new central midfield role.
We decided to compare the two players' performances this season to see who comes out on top.
In terms of assists, Fabregas leads the way with double that of Cazorla, 16 to eight, while his attempted assists success rate is also higher at 66%, with 55 of his 83 attempted assists on target.
In contrast, the Arsenal man has just 39 of his 66 total attempted assists on target - a success rate of 59%. Cazorla is ahead on the passing stats though, having made 1554 accurate passes from a total of 1762, a success rate of 88%. 43% of those total passes have also been forward ones.
Fabregas though has made 2059 accurate passes from a total of 2401, a success rate of 85%, while just 30% of his total passes have been forward ones.
Despite that lower percentage of forward passes, the former Barcelona star has managed to make more successful final third passes than his counterpart, with a tally of 774 to 666.
So then, Fabregas comes out on top of the stats, but whether he comes out on top on Sunday remains to be seen.
