Leigh Griffiths has enjoyed the most productive goalscoring spell of his Celtic career in recent weeks.
Griffiths has established himself as Celtic's main striker in recent times, and Forrest certainly speaks highly of the striker.
Forrest feels that Griffiths is one of the best finishers in the game and has also suggested that his pace makes him a threat to opposition defences.
“He’s got a great left-foot and a wonderful strike on him,” Griffiths said. “It’s great for the boys to have someone like him in the team
"He didn’t play in the first few months of the season but now he’s firing on all cylinders and looks like he will score in every game.
“Griff’s finishing is up there with the best, it doesn’t matter where he is, he’ll shoot and he’s got such great power that you always fancy him to score. He’s quick as well, so it’s good have him in our team.”
Griffiths is currently enjoying his best spell as a Celtic player, finally managing to show his class at Parkhead after 15 months in Glasgow.
The 24-year-old made a slow start with the Bhoys, but now that he has found his feet he is thriving and Forrest's words of praise should help to increase his confidence further.
Griffiths has netted 11 goals in his last 13 games and seems to be improving by the game, as he becomes more accustomed to the side's style of play.
If he can maintain his current form, he is a very valuable asset to the side and his teammates clearly have faith that he is the man to fire them to the league title between now and the end of the season.
