Former Leeds United and Chelsea midfielder Vinnie Jones says that he would love to work with Hollywood actor Russell Crowe.

Former Leeds United and Chelsea midfielder Vinnie Jones has revealed on Sky Sports that he wants to work with Hollywood actor Russell Crowe.

The former Wales international made the revelation on Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday show, while claiming that he could have worked with the New Zealand native in the 2000 historical epic film Gladiator.

“There are quite a lot,” Jones said when asked if there is anyone he would like to work with in a movie.

“Russell Crowe for sure, I would like to work with him. I was up for grabs for Gladiator, but they went for the big fellow, the big guy that fights with him.”

Jones has made a great career as a Hollywood actor and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.

The fact that the 50-year-old wants to work with Crowe should not come as a surprise to anyone, but it is interesting because of what the two share in football.

While Jones played for Leeds, Crowe supports the West Yorkshire outfit and sparked speculation that he could buy the club with the following Tweet in February.

All those talks have now cooled down, and Jones himself suggested on Sky Sports that it is unlikely that Crowe will buy Leeds (click here to read more).

However, one suspects that if Jones and Crowe do work in a movie together, then they are certainly going to share their thoughts on Leeds.
