Sheffield Wednesday are expected to be very active in the upcoming transfer window.
Pearson joined Wednesday earlier in the week to work alongside Glenn Roeder in an advisory role, and he has revealed that they both plan to meet with Stuart Gray to discuss transfer targets in the near future.
Pearson says that the work with regards to signing players has already started and he expects the next two weeks to be crucial to the side's progress in the summer.
“The work has started,” he said. “We are up and running. I am sure the chairman wants to see some positive progress very quickly.
“The next few weeks are crucial and we have to hit the ground running. Everyone will be involved in compiling a list of players to bring to the club. We want some excitement and enthusiasm.”
Wednesday are expected to be active in the transfer window, with both additions and departures predicted.
The Owls have 15 players with expiring contracts and many of those are expected to leave to make room for new additions.
The identity of those potential signings remains unknown, but it seems that a wishlist is likely to be drawn up in the near future.
Wednesday are likely to be looking to upgrade every area of their squad, but the addition of a striker will be the most crucial, given the side's goalscoring issues this season.
