Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane revealed on the club’s website his favourite goal from this season.
Spurs fans will be delighted to learn that it centred around the forward putting the club’s arch rivals Arsenal to the sword, when he scored the winner in the North London derby.
“I think it has to be the header against Arsenal. The way it played out and to score the winner and win the game 2-1 was very special to me,” said Kane.
“Nabil put a great ball in and I was able to adjust my body, head it back across goal and it was a great feeling.”
Kane will be looking to get the other side of the 30 goals in a season mark this weekend, as he continues his fine form across all competitions.
He’s dealt with the responsibility of leading Tottenham’s attack superbly and has scored from different positions in games against teams at the top and bottom of the Premier League.
The challenge for him will be how he copes against new sets of tactics and systems, which are designed to keep him out of games next season.
He has struggled at times this season when he’s been isolated in games and deprived of service from Tottenham’s midfield and if he can deal with that effectively to find ways to get into those difficult games, he’ll have a great chance of replicating 30 goal seasons throughout his career.
